I still remember you and Mickie helping us float kegs!
The first surveyor's meeting I attended broke out into a keg party at Lake Tyler........
Dan. Up. Come up. :-$:excruciating::'(:-X+o(:-O;-)
Back in the days when alcohol passed these lips it was beer because beer was cheap. Not because it teased the palate. Not because it refreshed. Not because it was sophisticated. Simply because it was cheap.
I think Holy Cow nailed it, I guess there might be some decent tasting beers, BUT IMHO, they are very rare, or least to my taste buds. I don't drink it because I see no point.

I am not a regular beer drinker, but (as opposed to the previous posts) I love the taste of beer...good beer that is. And when I do consume beer, it is quaffed, not sipped. I probably slug back an entire pint during the consumption of one measly little Usinger's brat covered with kraut....with a good brown spicy mustard....
Man, I'm getting hungry...I gotta go hit the fridge...
I am a beer drinker but now that I have passed the age for SS, I have a deserting palate. I like to sip good craft beers instead of swilling cheap beer. I just had a bourbon barrel beer from Richmond, VA that was delicious. I love good bourbon and now it is already mixed with the beer it is even better!
the only beer taste that I really liked were those dark brews made in Germany or the Netherlands , I believed brand is Amstel or something. sweet and slightly bitter tasting and light. not bitter like the american brands.
To quote that great songwriter Tom T. Hall
[Chorus:]
I like beer, it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer, it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (Makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, Champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I like beer
(He likes beer)
Tried to download Tom T'S video but can't.
Firefox has several addons that will allow you to download YouTube and most any other video from any site page after they begin to play to any file of your choice on your computer and several will convert them to mp3 files upon download. You can close the video and the file will usually continue to download.
Android app is called TubeMate. Download from GooglePlay, open TubeMate and choose YouTube file to download to your phone.
Computer program Quick Media Converter will rip audio track from most any format of video file and convert into most any format of audio only file. It will do one file at a time or an entire batch of video files at a time into individual audio only files.

I've been trying sour beers, Berliner Weiss and farmhouse ales and quite a few IPAs. Dogfish has a Festina peche that is fantastic. I like Tom T Hall's song about beer, too. I also say, "God bless Charley Mopps the man who invented the beer beer beer tidily beer beer beer!"
We have the opportunity to play a brewfest every year in Altoona, Pa called Pints for Pets. We play tunes for an hour then get to sample all the craft beer donated by the brewing companies. All proceeds benefit the central PA Humane Society, but I say everyone who has a ticket to the 3 hour event benefits from the massive variety of beers available. The first event was 6 hours long and it was decided that 3 hours was enough so they split the day into 2 three hours sessions. We've also played at a vinyard or two and a wine-making competition and sever wine festivals and also in a wine cellar. I'm not sure if a whiskey festival is a good idea but I'm sure we'd take a shot at that!
Daddy drinks because you cry.
lol Brad.
Oh well it's beer, beer, beer that makes me feel so queer, on the farm! on the farm!
Oh well it's beer, beer, beer that makes me feel so queer, on the Leland Stanford Junior Farm!
My Dad taught us that song as well as a bunch of other Cal Drinking Songs.
