Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

M Sargent Solution and Associates is seeking a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) licensed in the State of Texas to join our growing surveying firm. This position is 100% remote and is available on a full-time, part-time, or contract basis, depending on the candidate. We welcome newly licensed surveyors, experienced professionals, and retired surveyors looking for a flexible opportunity.

The successful candidate will serve as the Surveyor of Record by reviewing, approving, and signing survey deliverables while ensuring all work complies with the rules and standards established by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS). Primary responsibilities include reviewing and signing Boundary Surveys, Lot & Block Surveys, Commercial Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, metes and bounds descriptions, easement exhibits, and other survey documents. The ideal candidate will exercise sound professional judgment and maintain the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and ethical practice.

This position requires daily communication with our Operations Manager to coordinate project priorities, monitor production schedules, discuss technical questions, and ensure projects are completed accurately and delivered on time. The RPLS will also provide technical guidance to our CAD technicians and field crews when needed, perform quality control reviews before surveys are released to clients, assist in resolving boundary and title-related questions, and help maintain efficient project workflow.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment while remaining responsive and engaged with the team. Strong communication skills, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar surveying software, and a commitment to exceptional customer service are essential.
