What IS TerrainPlot?

The problem we've heard about from surveyors all over the country: a lot of time goes to retyping, and every retype means a chance at miskeying. Most of the time it gets caught. But it tends to get caught late, at final check, after more has been built on top of it.. which is the most expensive place to find it.

So we're building TerrainPlot to help with research, and QA/QC (more on this soon).

For research, drop in the whole research folder and TerrainPlot redraws plats, finds and plots the legals, identifies additional references that aren't in the folder, builds and geo-references aliquot parts (for the PLSS folks in the room). You review, fix what's flagged, and export into CAD with your own standards, or use TerrainPlot to create a search file + packet for your field crew.

What we believe about software: it should provide useful info then get out of your way. For us, we define 'useful' as: always linked back to the source document, never makes any guesses and says when it's not sure, and saves you tedious time.
