I'm not sure whether to scold the crew for wasting paint on their pet bunny or attaboy 'em for not wasting time to pretty up the picture. Just not sure....
Reminds me of the road striping crew and the dead skunk in the middle of the road.
Such accuracy - it looks that pin is just a hare off of the record position.
Andy,
Do you take pictures with a camera, or with one of the newer GPS data collector that will record the position of the photo?
I think I would have left the rabbit where is it, I probably would not have painted the rabbit.
What a hare-y job!?

I think he is just using his android smartphone with an app that lets you add text to the photo. I know one of my guys has pictures that include a description, coordinates and it labels the direction that the camera is facing but not sure what he creates those with.

I should clarify, that is not me in the picture, but one of our field guys. I am with you, I would have taken a picture, but where it was found.

Looks like the location might be a bit "fuzzy"...
1945 'The Unruly Hare' Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd as a surveyor.
Now we all know how it really ended!

I suppose the picture is just for the novelty, but the thoughts arise
-Why use any paint at all, since the flagging is more visible and will last longer?
-Why take a picture that is neither close enough to clearly read the stamping on the cap, nor wide enough to show it in its surroundings?
Had a boss once who was a bit... unhinged. Histrionics everyday. You get yelled at when you leave, you get yelled at when you get back.
Got yelled at really thoroughly one morning heading out to as-built a highway intersection. Bout 6, 7 hours into the job that day I'm running curb and gut lines out, trying to do a better job of avoiding the cars than the cat I stumbled upon resting in the gutter.
Next morning he calls me in for the morning constitutional: "WHAT THE F**K ARE ALL THESE 'DEAD CAT' SHOTS!?!?!" Holds up a printout of the area. I was pretty proud of my line work- made it look like a proper forensics investigation.
