That sucks, its 6C here this morning with a predicted high of 22C with no rain forecasted until Sunday.?ÿ The high yesterday was 29C.?ÿ Unusual weather for this time of year in the PNW.
Snow disappearing fast around here and the lumbering B-52 mosquitoes have begun their quest for blood donors. It's amazing how warm 46F feels, shorts and T-shirt weather, though the blinding flash of my legs has nearly caused more than one car crash.?ÿ
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
Be touching wood when you say that. Surely this weather will break soon and it will rain every day until July 4th. If it doesn't we will be gagging on wildfire smoke by August. Sure was beautiful this weekend, though.
I agree. It's lovely weather, but I fear what this summer will be like. It's been under 10% humidity for about a week now and it's worrisome.
Also, my work desk is a late-1700's lawyers desk -- solid wood and cast iron and brass fixtures. So yeah, my palms are always resting on the desk when typing. 🙂
I've got an 80 year old sister that lives in Ft. Collins, CO.?ÿ She's an avid gardener and sick of spring snows.?ÿ I told her Phoenix was a nice place to relocate...
I was raised in Central Idaho, spent 20 years thereafter in Oregon, Washington & Alaska so experienced snow good and bad every year.?ÿ Good was no bugs, winter camping, snowshoeing, cross country & resort downhill skiing, and not mowing the lawn.?ÿ Bad was shoveling the driveway, clearing windshields, switching to winter tires, closed roads, sliding off the road @ 1mph into the ditch, whiteouts where you'd be nuts to drive to 7-11, ice storms that would blow transformers so you'd be without power, and horrendous heating bills.?ÿ
So I woke and over the '90s-present slowly moved south and am now in San Diego.?ÿ Snow is no longer a problem.
Old joke (for the benefit of those that might not have heard it..):
An old man from N. Minnesota retired and decided to relocate.?ÿ He packed his car and headed south and stopped one last time at the old gas station in town.
The guy filling his tank noticed a snow shovel stuck prominently in his front bumper and asked, "What's the snow shovel for?"
The old man replied, "I'm gonna head south until someone asks me what it is...then I'm gonna stay there."
Current forecast says 36 prior to noon tomorrow with 60 to 100 percent chance of snow between 7 and 11 a.m. but warming up to 46 after noon.?ÿ That is slush, not snow.
