The surveyor can tell you which lots are which but most likely cannot tell you the exact address.?ÿ The address is determined by the Post Office.

I did enjoy the guy getting his mail out of a mailbox with a different address on it.

While it is not a part of my ordinary service I could do that by cross referencing certain GIS resources with survey records. Duck Soup.?ÿ

Had a case a few months back where that online GIS source was wrong.?ÿ GIS said the address ended in 2.?ÿ The client said it ended in 4.?ÿ Turned out the Post Office said it was 3.?ÿ You would expect the client to know their own address, wouldn't you??ÿ The GIS had it as what I thought it should be.?ÿ Sent it to 2, sent it to 4 and both came back as undeliverable.?ÿ Took it to the Post Office and said, "What the heck is the correct address?"?ÿ The response, "We cannot give out that information, Sir."?ÿ So, I hand delivered everything.

Depends on where you are, I suppose.?ÿ When we switched rural mail routes to 911 addressing, the County took the lead.?ÿ After that, the PO took over.?ÿ The PO has always done the city addressing.?ÿ Where this gets to be fun is along county lines where one side of the road is something like Anderson Road and the other side is Yale Road.?ÿ Or, 10th Road and 27000 Road.?ÿ Quite confusing.
