If you are running this set up be aware that when you add the Leica prism -34.4 to the data collector it will switch the total station to shoot the prism as a -34.0. Anyone else with this problem? Carlson told me I'm the only one and they will not fix it.

Topcon Magnet field will properly use the pc of -34.4mm.

I think Carlson's support is telling you that most instruments really can't measure less than a millimeter in precision so why bother with settings in sub-millimeter.

Yes, Topcon Magnet recognizes Leica -34.4. When running Carlson it rounds it to -34.0 on the gun. 2ppm is what the gun accuracy in horizontal.

So, I understand the 0.0013' is not enough to worry about. But they take it in to account for Leica why not TOPCON.

I agree. Also- those stickered offsets are nominal. The actual offset of any individual prism unit will vary. Kind of a bummer that this software won't carry more decimal points, but only Leica quotes offsets to the tenth of a millimeter in any case.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ?ÿ

And when you get to the fraction of a millimeter, you'd better be pointing the prism at the instrument for every shot, because you can easily pick up a mm or two with mispointing on a -30 or -34.4 mm offset.

Is there another software that rounds to the nearest mm?
