Hi Daryl,
good to see you're back again where the action is.
Great pics, especially the composition with the two rivers and the reflection of the sky : piece of art! Should fit well in 'Daryls Landsurveying Calendar 2013', You never had the idea to compose one? should be a real hit!

So I gues the knee is doing well since you're out again.

Happy Birthday from Belgium!

and please keep us posted.

Christof.

It looked like there was an abundance of water in almost every shot. How were the mosquitoes?

I learned in Cessnas but got the opportunity to teach in a couple of Hershey bar wing Cherokee 140s and I really like them.

I tell you though, when they are done flying (meaning stall or landing flare) they drop like a stone. But just fly them by the numbers and you will grease it almost every time.

No one can sit behind me in the older Cherokees because I run the seat all the way back (it goes back against the back seat).

Really great pictures but, at the same time, you can see how someone who has been there a little too long goes shack-wacky and shoots it out with the cops.

What Caliber are you toting around in the rifle case?

Is that old wrecked plane a DC-4?

That does look like a cargo version of the DC 4...me thinks it is used as storage.

The rifle case contains a stainless steel 12 gauge i use with 50 Caliber bear slugs...
normally have a 44 magnum Blackhawk but with the big blondies in this area I figured more bang would be better. Hope we never have to use it.

Hiya Christof...hope you and the fam are doing great. Maybe passing through Belgium again this winter.

I like that idea of the Land surveying Calendar! Going to make it happen! Thanks buddy ... you can have a free one!

The knee is doing great but I am not wearing the custom brace I had fitted at the moment because I think it affects my agility...(If Mary reads this I'm in big trouble)
