Keith started a new Bogus Theory post over there on 6/28. In 3 days Keith has posted 53 times to his own thread. Three other associates have responded a total of 16 times.
Is there an excessive compulsive surveying support group that can respond?

You would hope so.
Had every poster kept with his spirit, the NSA would have run out of storage space years ago.
:-O
I always like it when someone asks a technical question and someone answers - I don't use that (whatever) but....
Sorry, but my mind immediately switches to impure thoughts as soon as I hear the phrase "section corner".
:good:
time for an intervention?
Just along as we don't send over Kent
Our dear buddy, Kent McMillan, is the only one left here who can even light a candle in the presence of Keith. His great thread below titled, "So I was looking for a new total station" has grown to 87 posts at this time-----and only 27 of them are Kent's. And, only once did he make two comments in a row with no one getting a word in edgewise.
In fact, that thread is one of the best in a long time. It clearly has drawn everyone's attention as there are already more than 2800 views. That could be a record by itself.
Statistics show, and have done so almost since the very start of this site, that there are an average of approximately 10 posts per thread regardless of subject. 87 posts is incredible.
Edit: Waiting to see who will be the first to improve on that statistic to make it more precise.

Kent is an OK guy. I am wondering why his Austin competitor runs 100 crews and buys Leica.

I am totally ignorant of the situation in Austin, but I doubt that anyone that runs 100 crews can be considered a competitor.
Seems like a different market, doesn't it?

Why would anyone want to improve on that statistic?
You have wwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much time on your hands if you are counting Kent and others' replies to posts here.
I would suggest developing a drinking habit.;-)

It is... And I am no longer there. Getting ready to move back to my old Kentucky home.
