I hate getting older--having a senior moment. Just got back one of our TSC2 collectors from having the screen replaced. After charging it up since it was sitting for a few months and seeing if everthing was working, I can shut it off but not shut it down. When I hold the power button and it goes to the reset-align screen- shutdown screen I tap shutdown but it goes back into rebooting. I think but I can't remenber the sequence to do a soft/hard reboot on the collector, if there is one. Another curious note--when I turned it on this a.m. the date was set back to 2007? so something may have went "burp".

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

When you push the power button it should give you a count down from 5. Don't let go of the power button until it counts down to 0. It will automatically reboot

Maybe the screen calibration is misaligned. If you hold the power button and tap "Shut Down" it should shut it down. Maybe the screen thinks you are pushing restart or something. I would go through the touch screen calibration routine and try again. That being said, if the screen is being replaced because it is damaged, it may not be so easy to do the calibration after all.
