Yesterday we started a utility corridor survey. We have considerable property line locations from our data base that's tied to control based on the local HARN position NAD83(93). The utility company has hired a Lidar firm to map the corridor using NAD83(2011). So we need to find what if any the real world shift from 93-2011 is. After reducing the day long static and sending it to OPUS we have .14' in the Latitudes .05' in the Longitudes, very similar to other local control points.
Probably nothing to be concerned with for the Lidar topo data. However, we always like to keep things merged correctly. Static data was sent to RTX and the data was only computed in ITRF2020: no NAD83 data given. Ellipsoid heights are 2.3 feet lower for ITRF2020. We use Geoid18 to shift from NAD83 ellipsoid heights, how ITRF2020 is to be treated isn't clear yet. OPUS only shows the Ortho height that is shifted from NAD83 using Geoid18
Be careful out there, things will get very interesting going forward.
2.3ft will be a huge problem with respect to FEMA. All data will need to be NAVD88 until FEMA maps are changed.
Who or what is RTX? Why send or process your data through it if it only spits out ITRF2020 coordinates?
