Let's be careful out there

The important line from the story:

"The worker was pretty far off the road but had his back to it. He likely didnƒ??t see the truck coming for him, police said. He died at the scene."

One must always stay aware of everything going on around them. ?ÿHard to do and be focused on results at the same time.

Jason Szurgot. I think his dad is a registered surveyor.?ÿ

Wow...that's sad. Stay safe everyone!

That sucks man. Such a sad situation. Each and everyone of us find us facing this as we step out the door. RIP brother man.

RIP

His father was a RPLS and past away in 2009.

I heard that this morning. My condolences to his friends and family. Anybody know the firm he was working for?

I believe it was Fulton Surveying

"Sometimes we work in the middle of the road."

I say that, but don't think people really understand it. Yeh - the middle of the pavement, sometimes on your belly.

?ÿ

Condolences to his family.

?ÿ

I always hate working close to traffic.?ÿ Always.

I'm his nephew my gpa died before rpls but a couple of my gpas brothers were rpls Jason had only worked at Fulton for a week before this!

?ÿ

Sorry for your loss. I didn't know Jason, but some of my CAD Techs did. My condolences to your family.

This is hard to hear.

We should send some really nice flowers from RPLSToday and/or make a donation to a scholarship in his name.?ÿ I would donate the first $100.

It would have to be a scholarship to no particular place I guess but maybe Surveying/Science/Math oriented.

I didn't see any specific directions for contributions in lieu of flowers.

The nearest survey program is at North Lake College in Irving.
