Ok, put the topper on my Dodge yesterday. It went pretty well, even though the instructions left A LOT to be desired, and the online video clips are not really there. (note to diamondback... get that stuff fixed! and yes, I am sending them some notes)

:good:
Beautiful... Love it!
You will get a lot of looks & compliments.
I like your front half in two halves better than mine.
So sexy.
That is a great look.
bad ass
In the last picture, it looks like the top isn't sealed against the top of the tailgate. Is it just an illusion?

yes. the tailgate on the truck has a curve along the outside face and the topper is rectangular. the top of the tailgate is wide enough to accommodate the difference. I sprayed it with the hose then opened it all up and there wasn't any drips... so far. I will let it ride for a while then re-tighten anything that shifts.
Looks good, Andy. Is the top sturdy enough to hold up a light load if necessary, like a couple pieces of plywood, or some long boards?
yep, it will hold up to 400 pounds. it's a pretty thick aluminum check plate.
Nice rig Andy. I assume it's lockable.
Have a great week.
Very cool.... post an update in a few weeks after you've used it!
David
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you...
yes, all three doors have locks.. funny thing though, I didn't realize that it seems the only option my truck DID NOT HAVE is a locking tailgate!! DOH! shhhh. don't tell anyone until I get that fixed okay?
Exactly, shhh.
I only lock my top when I am out of town over night at a hotel some where.
I have had my laptop stolen from the front of my unlocked truck in November, but my unlocked cover & tailgate full of tripods, rods, hammers, tools, etc was not touched by the 17 year old punk.
That looks cool, may be the best I have seen as far as looks and function!
I have a Diamondback cover on my Toco. Mine only has the 2 hatches. Front and back. I love mine. I've only had 2 problems. The hold down clamps work loose, and fall off. A little Loctite on the threads will cure that. And the lock covers that look so cool will freeze with the morning frost making it untimely not to open. I'm going to try some wax or Fluid Film to see if that doesn't work. Nice rig Andy!

Thanks, pretty sure I won't have to worry about freezing!! 😉
Yea! You're right! The Sunny State!
Where did you purchase it?
Hope that is a dodge dakota or you are 6'5" to
reach into those side compartments.
