I have no problem with inserting a signature into a PDF but when it comes to inserting one into a DWG I am having some issues that I cannot seem to resolve and it concerns the frame, edge or border of the image I am inserting. That edge is black and my signature is within this frame and I cannot figure out a way to remove it without removing my signature. Any ideas?
On a different note maybe this will motivate me to getting my PDF issues resolved.

Turn image Frame to "Off".

Been looking for it and by golly I cannot find it. Using Carlson Intellicad.
Got it, You're the greatest. Thanks
Edit: The Image Frame kinda works a little. It turns off 2 of the frames but the other 2 are still there. Quite annoying.
Steve,
I use Autodesk Map and it is in the "Modify" menu. Select "Object" then "Image" and click on "Frame".
Otherwise, check the help file for image frame.

Never heard of "TFRAMES". What's it do?

As I recall it rurns certain frames on and off.
Insert a pdf of your signature. Blow it up big. Using the SKETCH command trace it with your mouse. Delete the image of your signature and you are left with a polyline signature. Scale it, save the drawing. Presto - you've got a dwg of your signature. Insert it as a block to any drawing. And since you created it by the movements of your own hand, it could be argued that it is, in fact, an actual original signature.
Pdfframe
I have my signature as a true type font, you could try converting the image to png format. I have better results with png files.
You can also change the linetype of the frame to ??dot? then change the ltscale of the frame to a high number like 100.
Most states now have digital signature requirements. A signed pdf in the manner you describe is not a digital signature and in most cases is probably not legal.
You guys are like Wiley Coyote.......Super Genius.
Thanks.
And I'm gonna look at the signature fonts. I like that idea a lot.
I know Georgia allows digital signatures but I don't know if that is just a copy of my signature or if in can use a signature font.
I will have to look into Alabama also.
??Digital? signatures in Fl., and probably GA., have to be accompanied with a digital certificate. There are numerous purveyors of digital certificates I prefer Identrust.

I scanned my signature and inserted it into CAD as an image file. I zoomed in close and used the polyline command to trace my signature with a mouse. I used the PEDIT command, FIT option, to smooth up the lines a bit. It is saved as a 1:1 .dwg file and can be inserted into a drawing as a block. I will not send out a .dwg file with my signature or seal attached as part of the drawing file or embedded as a block. I print out my survey plat with my CAD seal using Foxit as a virtual printer, and then use that software to attach my password protected signature. Foxit has many different and useful functions. I just like it. Works for me.
I do exactly what Harold and Mark Mayer do. Works great. Just remember never to send out a CAD file with the signature in it, and always PURGE the CAD file before it goes out.
My seal was taken from a cad file and used on a preliminary plat. The plat had multiple issues and could have bit me hard. I no longer allow cadd blocks of any of my seals.
