Hi all, forgive my ignorance on this but can anyone help me to understand why these coordinates are so far out? I understand there are conversion tools and have tried a few with no luck so now I'm looking for a lesson. I have attached the cogo, monument record and drawing settings.
Thanks!

I used the NGS Coordinate Conversion and Transformation Tool (NCAT) (noaa.gov). What's wrong with the coordinates?
I see a North Zone setting in one and East Zone in the other.?ÿ?ÿ
I'm with @jflamm. Corner record is 0901 which is FL-East. CAD/C3D drawing is set to North/0903.
I highly recommend entering in geodetic coordinates rather than N/E, and using the N/E as a check only.
Yes, I can explain it.
There is a typo on the form, a very minor one, makes a big change, but easy to catch.?ÿ
The Longitude should read 82d20'06.425", not 81d.?ÿ
Changing that will fix it.?ÿ
Happens,,,,,,,,,,don't ask how I would know that it happens.?ÿ
@field-dog Thanks for helping out from FL. I also got the same output you attached but the coordinates should be landing closer to Gainesville(About where it say Florida on the map.)?ÿ@jflamm pointed out one of the variables I was scratching my head over. The Labins record calls for East zone when in actuality it is North zone.?ÿ
The corner record zone should be 0902 and the Longitude is off as Moe notes. I looked up a nearby NGS data sheet and the SPC coordinates are listed as FL W. The point comes in the correct location west of Ocala using NCAT when choosing that zone.?ÿ
RIVERS v. LOZEAU county I see.
Yellow map is section 31,?ÿ Other map is NCAT
Looks like they are in the same location?ÿ
Whoever did the corner record had the projected coordinates right perhaps but it makes you wonder how seriously they took the rest of the form. Just numbers, right? Doctors bury their mistakes, surveyors record them.?ÿ

I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't see all of your attached files on my PC earlier. Now that I'm on my cellphone, I can see all of them, but I can't zoom in on them. Bummer! I'm in Orlando, and I use LABINS all of the time. I wish LABINS had an interactive grid system that would allow a user to touch an intersection point and all of the records pertaining to that point would pop up.
Doctors bury their mistakes, surveyors record them.?ÿ
