I throw a ball right handed. Shoot, swing a bush ax, machete or hammer with either. Write, shoot pool, shoot a bow, swing a bat and most everything else is left hand. Go figure...

My Dad was left handed as well as two of my three brothers. When my oldest was learning to write, I happened to walk in while my wife and her mother were "encouraging" him not to use his left hand. It almost started WW3. Must have been too late though. All four of our kids are right handed.
Write and throw a ball and run a theodolite and wield an ax left handed. Shoot a gun and throw a Frisbee right handed.

Lefty here. I adapted to right for a while after my first rebuild of my left hand. It wasn't fun...
I've wondered what causes left handed. My wife and I are both right handed, both our boys are right handed and both our girls and my other girl from another relationship are left handed, so I guess I am to blame.
Left handed shot in hockey. Everything else right.
My brother is a right handed shot (also throws right) and does everything else left handed.
I'm a lefty by nature, but my dad taught me to throw and swing a bat right-handed. (Which may account for the fact that I never did either one very well.) I hold a rifle or pistol left-handed (though I haven't held either in over 30 years), and I drop-kick with my left foot. I write lefty.
