New member / old surveyor.?ÿ I joined the forum to learn new tricks.?ÿ My experience which started in 1972 is close to being evenly divided between boundary and construction surveying.?ÿ Moved to Alaska 8 years ago to have new adventures and make new memories.. I like fishing, trapping, and hunting in that order.?ÿ?ÿ

Already found a couple of topics I'll be following and the forum appears to be a good source of information.

Welcome from the lower 48.?ÿ You'll probably fit right in with all of us other old guys.?ÿ Just like everywhere else we sit around and talk about everything we've done and everything we're gonna do.

Both are usually lies.?ÿ Feel free to jump on in!

Welcome,

I am from AK, but never surveyed there. I moved outside right after high school. Strange I never surveyed in AK, since one of my best friends is a surveyor's son (and is now a surveyor). I asked one summer, but I think they weren't sure if friendship would last through a summer in the interior working on the PLSS.
