About two weeks away.

Who will be there?

I'm registered for all three days - might have to have a Beerlegger soiree.

Wendell & Angel - Any ideas?

We're there for the three days as well. Woohoo!!

Look for me at the Surveyor Connect booth. Hopefully our goodies will get here so I have stuff to give you guys! 😉

Wendell is teaching classes as well. I'm so proud of him!!

We definitely gotta get something going...and get everyone together. Right now I am too tired to think of where and what. 😐 (Wendell broke his ankle and we were at the urgent care for hours.) Let's get back on this topic tomorrow. :bye:

Wish I was attending. Sadly it is not to be. Scott and Dee are two of my favorite people so it will be sad to miss them and Wendell and Angel and lots of other great PLSO folks.

Maybe in the near future. 😉

Y'all have a great conference.

Don,

You must mean Daryl's widow is in the business. I clearly saw Daryl get blown up in a video from a couple of weeks ago. Good looking, smart gal like that single again, bound to be lots of interest. 😉

Poor ole Daryl. He was a pretty good guy.

I'll second the idea of going to BJ'S. They have a fantastic whiskey beer. They store the beer in whiskey barrels to flavor the beer. They don't always have it though.

I'll be there, at the convention that is, for the duration starting tuesday night.

John

Broken Ankle & Daisy Pics

Dang it how did you guess?? 😛 There goes my secrets!! :-$

Reminds me of this 40 year old jerk (not Wendell!) who pushed me down three stairs when I was 8 months pregnant. (Another story in itself!)

Actually it was an old injury. We just didn't know it was broken until he re-broke it...or something like that. It's not real bad...just a tiny hairyline fracture. What amazes me is how much swelling comes from a tiny hairline fracture. His ankle looked like he had an orange stuffed inside of it. :-S

Here's the explanation from Wendell:

Did it in California, originally. I was walking to and from the hospital to visit Angel's Mom and during one of those walks, I stepped off the curb onto a rock that was camouflaged against the pavement, which caused me to twist my ankle pretty bad. At the time, it hurt and was sore, but not too bad. The next morning, I woke up and could barely walk on it. So I hobbled around for the next week or so until it subsided. Not a peep from it until yesterday, when I was just standing there talking to my wife (yes, just standing) and suddenly that sharp pain in my ankle hit like it had just happened again. Went to urgent care this evening and they did 3 x-rays, which revealed a hairline fracture and torn ligament. Now I have a brace, am to stay off of it as much as possible and keep it raised for the next week or so. The brace has to stay for 4-6 weeks.

This all means that Wendell gets extra special "attention meals" for the next few days...last night he got home made tacos, complete with all the trimmings. Tonight it will be lasagna or a pot of soup with Italian garlic toast.

PS: Daisy has decided to "guard" Wendells ankle. She wouldn't leave his side until he HAD to get up. Crazy cat!! :cat:

Guarding broken ankles is a tiresome job I guess...

I'll definitely be there as well! Will be flying in on Wednesday and out on Friday, so hoping Wednesday or Thursday is the day for the soiree. Man, I can't wait to see you all again. Oregon sure has the corner on the "wonderful people" market.

See you all there.
