Looking for book by Dan Beardslee "A Business Management Handbook for Land Surveyors"

Does anyone know Dan personally??ÿ I wonder how he would feel about sharing his book??ÿ?ÿ I have the CD but it's protected and you need the code to print it.?ÿ I wouldn't share it without his permission but wonder if we could ask him.?ÿ

@andy-j I do know Dan, he retired on 31-Dec-2017 and I have not seen or heard from him since.

I too have a copy of the book (DVD) and it is password protected.

I will inquire of him as to availability of book or sharing existing copies.

Our education will entail court cases overing an obscure aspect of property law, and least squares adjustment to fix millimeter errors that no one will ever find, but the running of a small surveying business is not covered normally.

I just heard from Dan and this was his response:

"The book is not in print anymore.?ÿ I certainly have no issue with sharing, copying, whatever."

So there you go, if you have a copy feel free to copy and distribute.

Thanks Shelby!   I hope Dan knows how much his work is appreciated!   I used it extensively for my on the fly business education.

I actually just found my printout of the book recently while I was moving.?ÿ So I have it in paper format, and could scan it back to a shareable PDF.?ÿ?ÿ I don't know the details of how the security code works.?ÿ Maybe I can just share the PDF and the code??ÿ

I would love a copy too if anyone has it, or if they would want to sell me their copy? I am an LSIT and will hopefully become licensed this spring and eventually start out on my own after a little more experience. I have been trying to find a copy all over the internet. Shoot me a message if any of you are able to make a PDF copy or if you wanna sell yours.

I would love a PDF copy.  I had also emailed Dan asking for a print/digital copy.  His response:

"I don't even have a pdf copy. I have a couple of hard copies somewhere but keeping them for nostalgia purposes. Good luck with you business ventures.

Here's my advice in a couple of sentences:

Do what you said your were going to do when you said you were going to do it, and for the price you said you would.

Call them before they call you.
