The original pamphlet published in 1977 was to show the 1st Sunset Commission that Texas Surveyors were capable of being an organized profession that operated within guidelines of a standard that was equal to that of any other boundary and engineering surveying being accomplished in any other State.

Is that the complete manual? 19 pages? I have the 2006 edition in paperback form and it is 144 pages. Are we lowering our standards?

Category 1A and 1B are for land surveying.

It did not include Category 2 thru Category 10 of which Category 4 was deleted and the others are construction-related, for investigative purposes and GIS.
