Our local bank, the Cape Cod Five, allows local businesses to prepare a display on a table in the Brewster branch. My wife noticed this one day while banking and asked about the policy. Turns out you get to make a small display and leave it there for a month. Our month started yesterday.

The water bottle shave our logo and are free, same with the chocolate and magazines and brochures...

If you saw this on the other board, my apologies. I just thought y'all might want to check with your bank!

That's neat. Just imagine what you could have done if they let you use the whole lobby.

It's pretty cool, but I would be concerned about giving the public the impression that surveying is a thing of the past, or that surveying is a thing that can be done with a few simple instruments. I'd prefer to emphasis the latest technology and current work products.

Free Marketing idea-Mark

I thought of that so i included pictures of our equipment in use, along with a CAD drawing of our two elementary schools.

You gotta admit, though, that our history is awe inspiring 🙂

I like it, I think the older stuff will draw people to it. If you had a bunch of modern stuff there, people will most likely just walk past it.

Very nice, and I totally agree about the historic aspect. I doubt people would expect you to put out equipment on display that you use to make money!! Good job, I may borrow that "free idea"! thanks.

I was at my bank this morning and presented this idea to the branch manager.

She asked me would I be receptive to placing some of her cards at my office. I said "sure, but I have a home office, so no one will see them except me & my dog". We had a good laugh over that.

She is going to present the idea to other managers, and get back to me in a couple days.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you...

I like that a lot....I don't think you need a Topcon Hiper + laying on the table to enhance the display....that's perfect the way it is for the audience that comes through...

> The water bottle shave our logo and are free...

I somehow read this as customers get a free water bottle, shave, and ... a haircut maybe -- espec. with the historical look to things? 😉
