Spending a few days in Vegas, and this morning I saw a TV advertisement for "Diamondback Surveying." That's a first time for me; it was tastefully done, showed boundary surveying, construction surveying, LIDAR scanning, etc.

Interesting.

I'm happy to hear it was "tastefully done". I don't see a thing wrong with it, as long as it remains presented professionally. We have a local colleague that occasionally posts here that at one time used radio advertisement. I don't believe he has continued that practice; leaving me to wonder about its effectiveness.

I hate to voice the fear of what level to which it might eventually degrade, at least around here...

The old Earl Scheib "Any Car, Any Color, $100" might morph into a battle cry of "Any Lot, Any Place, $100" around here.

I wish I had more faith in my brethren....

Good taste in the context of professional and proper. Not gaudy, nor sensational. Debatable to those that eschew advertisement for professional services.

I've been contemplating a surveying website. I thought Wendell built 'em, but he didn't respond to my email, so I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
That's as close to TV as I'm going to get. Yellow pages ain't worth it, IMHO, at least around here.
Best bang for the buck for me has been my name and phone number on the side of my truck.

Sorry JT but haven't seen any emails from you. I'll check my spam folder but I typically review it weekly to make sure I'm not missing anything important. Could be that I somehow missed it though. You can write to [email protected] or use my contact form at http://harnessweb.com/contact

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it. 🙂

Wendell hosts and updates the Tanque Verde Valley Fire District for us, and has been very responsive.

I'll try again. I figured he didn't do that, or at least anymore.
I thought I had seen that somewhere, but wasn't sure.
