My youngest Angela ask where I work and what I do. Measuring land and preparing property descriptions and making drawings only relays little info to an 8yr old daughter. This afternoon we went to set the last monument for a 200.29 acres a few miles from here.
Getting the location made and pounding cap on rebar.
Checking actual location, go 0.02', right 0.01', not bad for forest area. Notice the background "dynamic forest" of devil walking sticks, sweegum, elm and multiple varieties of briars 5yrs after clearcut and unplanted area.
Glass of well water on the ATV
After this we spent a few hours taking more pictures of each monument found and set, sightings of several pair of Cardinals, Redtail Hawk, butterflies and flowers for SWMBO, oh yea, a few "put you feet up" mud holes and pecan pie a la mode back home.
Good job Dad- looks like it was a great experience for both of you.
Well that is Fantastic!!
Not to mention a little Father/Daughter time which is invaluable.?ÿ Enjoy, they grow up WAY too fast.

Wow!! You made my day Mr. Harris!!
You win post of the year.
Nice. I remember posting pictures in here of a similar day with my oldest about 5-6 years ago. She just got her learner??s permit on Tuesday. I??ve made her drive to the store and home from school every day this week.?ÿ
Yeah, time ain??t getting any more abundant.
Must have been a fantastic day, thanks for sharing here!
I hope she asks for more fieldwork, at least she now got an idea what dad is doing all day.?ÿ
Christof.
Remember those days well---times three.
Great job! I second the "Post of the year" nomination.
