I believe what Mr. Karoly is doing here is called "ASCII Art." Back in the early days of the internet it was all the rage to do detailed drawings of things as a text file. See some great examples here:

Those were in the lower two thirds of the file. I never knew that our posts had a size limit but apparently the ceiling is 10,000 characters. I had pasted in the entire ascii cow art file but when I hit the OK-Submit button I got an error message informing me of the limit and telling me that my post was 29,000+ characters. Oops.

I have an old IBM printout somewhere in my files that would be a timely addition to this topic of discussion.

It would be improper to do so because it is a detailed nude graphic representation of Marilyn Monroe that I believe originated in the offices of RR Ammunition Depot back in the 70s and is very impressive and consists of the multiple keyboard inputs at the proper location.

It came into my possession as a find in a closet of a home I purchased in 1978.

I think that it should be retrieved from its hiding place and scanned.

Wonder what they will say down at Kinkos?

It also reminds me of a form-able hacker I knew who referred to himself as "Ghost" that would show his skills on a blog we spent many hours on in the 90s. He was a true artist at forming pictorial concepts from his keyboard skill that would fill a page with graphic genius in the amazement of everyone online.

The true genius was that what his drawings were something that was currently in discussion and he was preparing it in real time.
