The second time crossing the river. Was probably in the high 40's by then. The first time it was still in the 20's and I crossed too far upstream and I got wet. This time I went more downstream and stayed dry. Another week and there will be no chance getting across on a 4-wheeler.

The Powder River.

It will get quite a bit larger soon.
Then it's going to be impossible to cross in my 4 wheeler and there just aren't any bridges in the area.

For now, it's not too bad crossing. Just pick the right spot.

Mighty:

I guessed Powder River when I saw the photo only can't pinpoint the exact area. Not quite the time of the year where it's "Too Thick to Drink and Too Thin to Plow" 😛

Moe,

Slap a snorkel kit on that ATV and buy you some chest waders. But, hey, if that were me, I'd have my fly rod strapped on back. Y'know, just in case of a sneak trout attack.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

There isn't anything in that part of the river I'd be fishing for. Go upstream far enough and it's a different story. 😉
