A number of years ago I got number of calls from an out-of-state party concerning a survey I had done.?ÿ I couldn't find anything I had done in the area but the caller was insistent.?ÿ?ÿ

This was back in day of fax machines.?ÿ He finally faxed a cop of what he had been looking at.?ÿ It was a reduced copy of a survey I had signed as an employee of a now defunct engineering company in 1985.?ÿ Not a lot was readable except my license number.?ÿ I guess that's how he tracked me down.?ÿ I could barely remember even being out there, let alone any particulars.

I had to explain to him that his chances of finding a legible copy weren't real good.

What has ever given people the idea Surveyors sit around waiting to help them for free? I wonder if they try to negotiate prices or demand freebies at WalMart or the Dentist's office? ?????ÿ

We provide a service and professional opinion, you will not get a signed copy of anything from my office after 1 year unless you are very good client. We may provide plats stamped preliminary from decades ago but require $150 record pulling fee.
