Does anyone know of one?
I am still waiting for a basic cogo app too...
I've had several requests to write some surveying apps for these things.
I suppose I could. I already got developers toolkit for writing these apps. However, without the hardware to test on I'd be shooting in the dark.
Can't you get an emulator?
Apparently not. I looked for one. I have written stuff for the WindowsCE devices (like the Carlson Explorer). I had an emulator but also had the real thing.
You could just use the formulas.
There is a Trig Solver app that will do right triangles and non-right triangle solutions
Not really related, but cool for field work is an app called Photo Measures, where you can take a photo and add dimensions with your fingers.

I am willing to make a small investment. How much $ do you need?
What are you going to do in an app that you couldn't put on an interactive website?
Eric, if you have the self-professed skills to write the software, why can't you get the hardware to test it on? How are you marketing yourself in this regard? Who are you talking to in order to further that enterprise?
I wish you luck. You probably have something to contribute that may lead to advancement of the technology, not to mention personal income. Go for it.

Well WV I've never marketed myself. That is just not me. I invented/built 4 programming languages on my own.
It all don't matter to me anymore.
I have no idea. Dont send me anything.
It might take me a half year.
That must be one big dog who is using that hydrant!:-)
I'm still waiting for an abacus app.
:coffee:
I'm looking for an HP-41 emulator...

Is this HP-42S calculator simulator of any interest?
Free42 is available for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
There actually are several available

I've been thinking about playing with a cogo app for the Droid platform. My sister bought the developer package the other day. I'll see her this weekend and see if she has any interest.
Andy, if she bought the pro version of the free version I got I would be VERY interested to hear what she has to say escpecially if she's a programmer like myself. The stuff I got seems horribly disorganized and I honestly haven't figured out where to start. There is no little "here is your first 'hello world' app" or anything about how to get going.
I messed around with it off and on for a couple of days and gave up. I am not about to un-install it. The download took about 10 hours even on my high speed broadband hookup. I suppose I should burn it to a DVD. I know it won't fit on regular CD.
I sent her a link to this message. We'll see what she says.
