What are you going to do with it? It's too big to make a good coaster?

Well, besides using it to strengthen my arms, I will be studying it and finding ways ti implement some of the processes in Colonial lands. Not necessarily sections/townships/ranges, but some of the thought behind the processes.

We are not all that much different, just that PLSS like semi-squares and we like metes and bounds!

I'm not into baseball enough to travel for it. I plan on using a airline voucher to visit the great North west, though. Within the year I think!

I was always told the PLSS was just another layer to deal with. Once you get the major stuff solved the minor stuff is the same as our standard subdivisions.

All I can say is good luck implementing. We have a hard enough time getting surveyors to abide by the rules in place now. (Deleted entry, starting new thread)

That's a first for me, I can't say that I've ever met someone from your area, that wasn't a devoted Red Soxx Fan....;-)

If you decide to come out we could get JB Stahl and Larry Phipps to show up too, each pay them a dollar each and start tracking PDH's....:-D

Cheers,

Dugger

I will give you $25.00 for it. You will be better off in the long run not to even think about applying the manual in the east.

I enjoyed the first chapters dealing with the history of the public lands.

Ummm...that's about all I remember...that and double proportionate something-or-other...

There is a digital version floating around but an official version is supposed to be on the way from BLM. There is supposedly some copyright issues but everybody I talk to think that the information is all public domain even for the information provided by some of the contributing authors. Maybe your local BLM office will know. I wonder how much BLM/ACSM will charge for a digital version? Hopefully not like the $125 they originally sold the hard back version for.
