I am not familiar at all with .dc files from Trimble, however, a firm sent me what they call a .dc (Control File) and various .DC (road stakeout files) exported from Civil 3D. I am wondering if someone has a standard workflow for getting these files into a Survey Pro System V5.6.2 and then getting the roads to show up so that I can go to work. No matter what I do, when I try to import the .DC (road files) it says that they are in a different projection than the existing file, and nothing shows up in the roads. Is there a more efficient export from Civil 3d for Survey Pro, or am I just missing something simple.
Survey Pro seems to only allow .survey and .job files, yet will allow the import of the .dc file. So the only way to begin (as I see it) is to start up a new job and import the .dc control file into the .survey file.

5.6.4 allows .dc files to be referenced in or imported

An XML format usually works for me. I think I'm running survey Pro 5.6.1

Don't quote me on this but it should be free to go from 5.6.2 to 5.6.4 as it is a maintainance upgrade but that may not be the case anymore

a .dc file is a data collector file that should have the raw data in it.
