I have an intermittent issue I'm experiencing when creating contours in LDD. I use 3d polylines to create my terrain model boundary and breaklines. I build my terrain model. When I create contours, for some reason they stop well short of terrain model boundary. Any ideas why this is happening?
FYI - there are plenty of points in the area where there is a gap, so it's not because there is a shortage of elevation data. Most of the points are turned off in the image below.

When you view the surface tin, what does the triangulation look like?
Mark,
Here is what the tin looks like. Any idea why would it be pulling up short of the outside boundary?

It appears as though you have not included all of your points into your terrain model.

I have had the same issue with LDD3 but not sure why. Try drawing breaklines from interior points around the edge of where the contours are actually drawn to points on your outer perimeter.
It's not a solution, more of a work-around.
James
it looks to me like the interior breaklines are being used to exclude all the points beyond them.
import your points into your surface and re-build.
