Anyone have some spare time to check a COGO XL spreadsheet?

These are formulae I've found useful over the years and finally compiled them into a spreadsheet, but I haven't rigorously tested my typing skills...
I'll email one to anyone willing to test several formulae against cadd or other cogo programs.

P.S. I could really use some XL help formatting the Tangents on Two Circles formula correctly. It provides internal tangent intersections (for example) when there is no internal tangent case.

I think I got it to work under (hopefully) all conditions.

Pretty cool....

Graphics aren't the best, but excel has its limits.

Checking design drawings and tangent/curve fitting in field. Recently completed an ellipse and couldn't have done it without the ellipse formula.

Found some time to generate and assemble some test data for two circles and tangents. Data are ordered, top down, xca, yca, ra, xcb, ycb, rb. I believe you should be able to enter the data by coping and past directly into your spread sheet.

Tests 1 through 4 incorporate equal radii circles. Test 1 specifically makes both circles coincident so that there are an infinite number of tangents.

The remainder of the tests incorporate both vertically and horizontally oriented tangents to test conditions when the slopes are either infinite or zero.

Have fun testing.
