I have been revising old fieldbooks to work with SurvNet by manually changing point numbers. Is there an easier way?

I have an intern who whipped up a little python program to pull all the point numbers out of a RW5, then renumber them. My workflow has been to process the RW5, block the raw data into the plan with the target points and run through. Does anybody want to beta test this app I had Jacob the intern make? spledeus at c4.net

Do you have Carlson Survey? You can use the coordinate point utilities to renumber all the point numbers

If you do have Carlson Survey, the "Edit-Process Raw Data" routine has "Renumber Points" under the "Tools" pull down. The beauty of this routine is that it will renumber the station occupied and station back sight point references, as well as the fore sights and coordinate assignment lines.

I am looking to merge old fieldbooks into current ones. The app will list all the numbers from the rw5 so they can be easily targeted. We are looking to reduce keystrokes to incorporate more books.
