Anyone else have an idea of a release date for 2016?

You know, the one that's supposed to work with AutoCAD 2016.

Just curious...

Looks like it's going to be released in about 3 days according to their website.

Lets be glad that they are not rushing to send something out on someone else's schedule.

Well, it just rolled into my "inbox" and IT won't let me install it... they insist on doing it themselves and then "pushing" (cloning) the installation to my machine by a network "script".

Another 4 months to work on rebuilding a "clean", or as I like to call it, a "back to square one" install.
Rather than letting each machine "migrate" to the new version, maintaining working setups.
For here, this is typical of this process. Another 4 months of re-setting defaults, styles, and tools, and starting over, "back to square one" .....

I look forward to the updates, and explaining why "productivity" has dropped for the next 4 months!

Cheers!
And remember.... Onward!.... Through the fog!

IF your IT Wits are not drafters and/or do not use the software on a daily basis ore have at least read That CAD Girl's boolk on configuring Carlson, tell them to keep their stinking hands off the software. Situations like your's ALWAYS create more problems than they solve.
Company stards are GREAT only IF the dudes setting them up really knows what they are doing.
Go to the Big Boss amd voice your concerns. Show him that there is MUCH more to a successful installation than loading as CD and entering a serial number( that is usually the limits of a normal IT Wit's knowledge of Carlson Software.).

Just loaded up 2016 Survey AutoCad/Intellivad with no problems.....yet. All settings seemed to have transfered just fine. All paths and custom settings transitioned without a hitch. A pop-up came on and said it found my old version and did I want to copy all the settings. I said "yes" And it seems to have worked well.
Pleasantly surprised.

Got mine loaded as well with Map2016. No issues but I haven't found anything spectacular about the new version. Didn't see a post about all the changes. I believe it is in help but haven't dug their yet. Too busy. Question for you guys, once you loaded the new version, do you uninstall the old one?
