So, I am to understand that NCEES only accepts Visa/Mastercard and nothing else?! No checks, money orders, bank drafts, €uros, cash, American Express, silver bullion, gold nuggets, bars or doubloons???

What a pain in the ...

So Andy- you taking the 6 hour NCEES exam followed by the 2 hour state specific? - is that how that works?

Yep. I don't think Texas requires the NCEES PS test, so I have to prove it up for Oklahoma.

And our company accountant types can pay with a check or American Express. But those aren't options for NCEES. I don't feel like floating the note with my Mastercard debit card, but that looks like what I will have to do. Forgive my Wednesday whining.

Have the accountant cut you a check and buy a prepaid VISA at the local branch.

I had to take the 6-hr NCEES exam for my Oklahoma license. It's pretty silly. It was ridiculously easy.

One thing to remember....you CAN take your HP48 or pretty much any calculator you want for the 2-hr state specific part. You will have to calculate section breakdowns, etc.

You have to use a HP33 or something for the NCEES portion but I doubt you'll even need it.

I don't know about Oklahoma but the Tennessee State exam WOULD NOT allow the the use of the 48 (or 41). ONLY NCEES approved calculators, and yes they did check.

Oklahoma will allow you to use your 48 for the state exam. Personal experience, February 2012. I'm pretty sure that you will not be allowed to use it on the NCEES exam, per the national rules.

I have a HP 35S that I bought for the exam, it's the only time I've ever used it.

They would not allow a 48x for the 6hr exam, I asked.

It is your licence and your future. Pay for it on your MC and file a company expense report.

I am happily licensed in Texas. I only cross the Red River when I have to. The company wants the license, not me.

You can ship all that Oklahoma work down here to me. My company is already working in Oklahoma and I have been licensed there for 20 years.
