Calling for 6" to 10" here.
Partly cloudy here in Boston today. Next snow (mixed with lots of rain) starts tomorrow night. Probably 2 or 3" here on the ground.
I seem to have to shovel about 1-2" daily.
They have been predicting snow in the Portland area "in the near future" for about 2 weeks now. It keeps getting pushed back from the day after tomorrow day by day. The latest is for a 4"-6" starting around noon Thursday. That will be more than enough to make Friday a blowout, and with Monday being a holiday for us government workers it's looking like a 4 day weekend. Woo-hoo!
Just rain, drizzle and lightning/thunder in Austin, Tx today. Last week we were in the mid 80s. So far this week we've had a high of 58. Brrr 😎
T. Nelson - SAM
pretty snow right now - we will see tomorrow morning 5 to 8 predictions
We are scheduled to be on the southern edge of a large area of snow/rain/wintry mix. No snow yet. Probably will turn out to be an icy, miserable few days here in southeastern Kansas.
Snow finished up at about 9" +/- 1" @ 95% confidence level 🤣
Now freezing rain and ice and crap !
Superlatitudinal precipitates of fluffy white stuff perhaps as much as two inches in depth appeared overnight.
Here in eastern Iowa I have maybe 1 to 2 inches and more falling calmly, but overnight the wind made the depth quite variable.
Can't get away from the stuff...surpassed 200" on the year about a week ago. Forecasted for more tomorrow through Sunday...Sure makes surveying difficult.

Wow, Will that affect the geoid? 😉
WHAT, no comment from Williwaw? This thread is making me miss Juneau (not really)

After last winter's near record 132" plus inches total of snow, I think right now there is maybe 3" on the ground? I think we've had more rain than snow this time around. Weird winter for sure.
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
I spent Sunday in the field (well actually all weekend finishing up an out-of-town job) at 1 C and spitting rain/snow all morning. Just wet enough to fog over my glasses.
Just think of those 60 F days this July in Austin.
