I am looking for a survey tech to assist me with field work for a project I'm doing in Pownal, VT. It will be for about 1 month this fall ending around Thanksgiving but it may continue for several more weeks (Monday through Friday) depending on the weather. I also may need assistance in the spring for a few months. The work consist of boundary evidence location this fall and monumentation, painting and blazing in the spring. This is woods surveying in rugged terrain.

Will do. On one hand I would have liked to be there to see the fall foliage but I'm happy to wait for leaf off too. We're coming into the best woods surveying weather of the year... Fall. Minimal leaves, bugs, mud or snow.... it's a small window around here.
It will be fun too. Woods boundaries are my favorite.

Don't get me wrong, I've done and enjoyed the many, many, many miles of boundary clearing, marking and painting for years day in and day out.
Nowadays, they make machines that do it better and faster and cheaper when the grade is right. Still in the very steep areas, it is a hands on job.
