As a solo operator, I don't have many peers to bounce off ideas with concerning equipment, techniques, and procedures. Lately I've been thinking about all the tips, tricks, and knowlege I've garnered by frequently visiting this site. Yswami's issue concerning a radio setup is another great example of how the Beer Leg community helped him work through his problems and directed him to a solution. I silently watched this thread as I, too, am considering his setup.
With that said, I just wanted to say "Thank You" to Wendell and Angel for Beer Leg and Surveyor Connect. Almost everyday I'm using a field technique/tip or recommended product from all of you. It's been a tremendous resource.
I don't post as often as some of you, but there are probably MANY others like me that are quietly watching and learning.

Man, I have to agree 100%.
I am solo, but I am lucky that I do work with another solo guy about half the time, and I have a few really good friends that I bounce ideas off of.
I spend a lot of time on this site. It is very important to my daily activities. I wish I could support it more financially, and plan to in the future. I signed up for the $10 or so a month. The benefits are unbelievable.

Right now I have it booked for Sept. 18 - 28th, but for $100 LESS I can get the cheaper flights and car rental and stay until Oct 2nd. For some reason it's cheaper to go 2 weeks than 10 days...go figure... Not that I'm complaining about having to force myself to stay in St. Louis for an extra 4 days. B-) 😀 :snarky:
