Damn. My daughter gave me a 4Ocean t-shirt for my birthday and now it's out of date less than a month later.

They could've warned us.

@mathteacher

I hear you...

I graduated college the first time in 93 and they were saber rattling about how Five Kingdoms wasn't enough.

Didn't look back, got degree and ran..... eventually into Surveying.

This sounds similar to the old debate as to how to count Eurasia when counting continents.

@holy-cow

So, you're saying there's really only one ocean?

That depends on the definition of ocean, ala former President Clinton's obfuscating statement.

Maybe if Pluto fits in it, it's an ocean.

Does the ocean really exist if it's behind a paywall?

I recently discovered a sea I was unaware of. I'm sure that Angel and Wendell know all about the Salish Sea...

Let us not forget the Western Interior Sea that has so greatly influenced our surveying experiences.

That was some serious sea level rise.

There are quite a number of what they call "fourteeners" in Colorado alone.

Monument rocks view

Monument Rocks, located 25 miles south of Oakley, Kansas.

Ever been here?

Yes, sir, more than once.?ÿ Also, to Castle Rock and the surrounding area.?ÿ Mrs. Cow grew up even further to the northwest of these locations but still in Kansas.?ÿ Not to mention Rock City near Minneapolis, Kansas near the eastern edge of the sea.

Then there is the museum for these critters in Hays, KS.

Mrs. Field Dog would like to know exactly where your wife grew up, since she grew up out that way too. Is there any way to convey that info privately so as not to display it to the whole world?

No big deal.?ÿ It's sort of midway between Ward Bond's birthplace and the only city in the world simply named Bird City.?ÿ Apparently, Mr. Bird arrived early.?ÿ On the edge of another geologic wonder.
