Wow. Are those prices from 1995?
The contact us page is odd. 14 contacts. All but two are women and only one rpls who is also a woman. So few women in our profession. Too bad one of them is involved in a place like this. Most of the contacts look to be accounting or marketing people.
I am not sure if these survey brokers are a sandwich short.
Surveyors bid jobs really cheap. Is there room for the surveyor
and the broker to make money.

this looks like a phone number to me.
603-838-4567
This looks like some kind of website address or real number w/ an extra decimal point.

I always figured it as some sort of Euro-fad thing.
Thankfully, people in my area seem to have drifted back to the old style with the dashes.

The Enlightenment: Its purpose was to reform society using reason, challenge ideas grounded in tradition and faith, and advance knowledge through the scientific method.
Guess those days are long gone! LOL

> The other day, I saw an ad for surveying personnel on craigs list. The ad specifically stated it was for the Baltimore (MD) area and 60 mile radius. I responded and got the response that the office is located in Cincinnati Ohio. I was also asked if I had plans of relocating.
>
> I am (obviously) still disturbed by the ad. Makes me wonder how much of a "true" presence the company has in Maryland among other things. I'm hesitant to post the company name. If "the powers that be" tell me it's ok to do so, I would find it interesting to get direct feedback about the company itself from the folks on this board.
Wow, I've seen some cheap crap surveys float around but this is lunacy.:pissed: :-S
Guess I will just worry about this side of the continent.:bored:

The premiere surveying company in Texas?
I think we have a contender for the right company name for the sign now.
Comes with your choice of french fries or coordinates.
Not sure if this company will affect my business. I will let them fight it out with the other title mill survey company in the race to the bottom.
There are two reputable companies looking for an LS in Kentucky right now. I saw the ad through KAPS contacts.
I actually like the ads, as they are kinda' an indicator of whats going on.
Here's today's winner
".. taking photos and imputing(sic) field information in Autocad. "
"If you are interested in joining our highly regarded team of as-built professionals respond to this ad with your resume in pdf format. "

They misspelled San Antonio in big letters on their pricing page. That gives a good image.
I must respectfully disagree. Here is the "job of the day,"

Looked up Ms. Hansen. She has been registered less than 1 year. The address listed for Texas is in Bastrop.
I hope Ms. Hansen doesn't get burned by this bunch.:excruciating:
Neil,
THAT really is the wierd "job of the day":-O

She has competition. Today's Winner. I don't understand how it is you can survey here in Houston from four states away. These are dinky jobs going for cheap. Both registereds appear to live in Georgia. How do you make a site visit? How can you qualify "..This survey was made on the ground under my direct supervision..." ?
