got this email yesterday from the Oklahoma State Board having passed the open book Part B after the State Specific last month-
"Your LS license is being issued. You should receive your licensing packet by regular mail within a week to 10 business days.":-D
Congratulations! Way to go! :good:
Welcome to the "Home of the Red Men", literal translation of 'Oklahoma'. While not as big as Texas, some of it can get pretty expansive.
Mangum to Miami and Boise City to Bokchito...
:good:
Well done.

Congrats.
I haven't used mine since I got it this summer but I haven't really looked for any projects up there.
thanks guys! so what do you boys call yourselves? PLS's or LS's?
that wasnt on the test:-O;-)
Rg,
Does that make CA, TX, & OK? Or did I miss one?
congrats. Now, go get the CFedS - not for what business you will get from it, but just for the excellent training into the PLSS system.
😉
Geezer
Way to go buddy,
I will be tipping a lemonade in your honor.
You know it was that lunch meeting with Ross and I that gave you the lucky charm, right.;-)
Again Congrats with the license, but not you have to deal with those silly sooners.
Randy
boys?
That's like callin' the Mississippi a creek. 😉
PLS or LS. I don't really think there is an official designate. I go with LS. I've even seen RLS. I guess that means "Real Live Surveyor".

It's probably designated in your statutes, and on your license what your title is. Same with rivers the size of the Mississippi. Around this state, a waterway the size of the Mississippi would be a...I don't know...maybe an ocean. We ain't never seen that much water, and what water we do see we fight with either Kansas or California over... 😛
Oh, and congratulations Mr. Goodwin.
> ....so what do you [men & women ...mostly men] call yourselves? PLS's or LS's?
The term "Professional Land Surveyor" is used in the Administrative Rules and Statutes, and your certificate will read so, but there is nothing in OK law about what acronym needs be used. Except that your new stamp must read "Licensed Professional Land Surveyor".
Probably the acronym PLS is most common. I see LS used from time to time. A few old timers use RLS. I don't think I've seen anybody use RPLS.
yep i apologize to all the women surveyors out there when i said "boys" - I know numerous licensed women professionals..just not any from Oklahoma;-)
and you got it right Geezer - Tx,Ca,OK
