No, not like that.?ÿ Use the fiducial marks to space the letters evenly, and quite a bit faster if you want to keep your job.?ÿ
I never could Leroy very quickly... hand lettering was more my speed in my drafting class.
Well, as they say, this is where the excrement hit the propulsion device.
Yup, and somebody is up a dysentery tributary without proper propulsion. ?????ÿ
@richard-germiller Hey, my Dad had one of those. Reduced quite a few topo shots with it. Shoot topo all day, reduce notes in the evening.. Not the most pleasant of memories.
I've been licensed for 25 years and twice I found my seal and signature "sticky backed" and applied to a plat that I had nothing to do with preparing. Same entity both times. Saw my attorney who informed me that if I didnt know it existed, I'd be fine. But now that I know, I must take action to remove it from circulation. So I called the planning and zoning office and explained the situation. They weren't very happy about being given forged documents. They gave me every copy submitted.
@stacy-carroll Did you take any action against the forgers?

Around here sticky backs haven't been allowed for 30 years or so.?ÿ They're not archival and tend to fall off or get stuck to the bottom of the Mylar above them in a few decades.
@mike-marks?ÿ Now you would have to scan and insert.
I was surprised several years ago to learn that printing to a .pdf was not anywhere near secure.
I had been inserting my stamp and signature into the .dwg then printing to a .pdf and emailing to my client.
The person that I was working for modified my .pdf and sent it back to me with the stamp and signature moved.
She did that to teach me a little lesson.
I learned a bit about protecting .pdf files after that.?ÿ
@bob-freeman I've started locking the pdf with a password to prevent any changes.
I'm not sure how secure that is though.
@tommy-young I use Adobe Acrobat and password protect anything that has my seal & signature before it goes out, but I've been told that some third party pdf software ignores the password and allows edits.?ÿ At the end of the day a determined person could do a high resolution scan of a paper original, clip the pdf so that only your seal and signature remained and then layer it over another pdf and it would be practically indistinguishable from an original.?ÿ If someone is determined they will figure out a way to commit fraud no matter what we do.
Wow, I had heard of this leroy stuff but had never seen in action until now.?ÿ Looks awfully tedious.

I am more used to the Isograph stencils like this
They are pretty quick when you get used to them. Could not find a video of one in action.
All I can say is 'Thank heavens for CAD'
My son who has a BA in graphic design was able to alter in less than 20 min my adobe "digitally secure" signature and seal and make edits to my drawing like changing distances. He was using higher end software than a normal person might have.
@bstrand?ÿ
Yeah, it was very tedious.?ÿ Especially after you finished a standard note paragraph that you'd done on countless other plans, only to notice that you skipped a word or two.?ÿ Then came out the eraser, licking the end of it, and trying not to burn through the mylar.
And like Mike and Richard, me being a lefty didn't make things any easier
