These guys were at a trade show yesterday and one can buy this for 10k, Can funds..."ready to go".

The prices on these systems are coming down. This one has the look, and some of the insides, of a Trimble R10.

How does the tilt correction know which direction is correct?

Good question. I don't know the answer. But that feature has been available on the Trimble R10 for a while and it works.

But not by metal... Magnetic mechanism.

From what I understand it may work like my drone. Which has a digital compass and IMU sensors. Which is recommended to perform a recalibration at every job site, due to the effects of Magnetic Fields.

I dont know how it works exactly either...some kind of compensator in it? but hard to get used to after 30 years of trying to hold a pole level.
