Orion always rises due east. PK nails, on the other hand, can rise in any direction from any surface at any time.
I expect to see only one skunk left after the clean-up;)
Probably the one that stinks the most is the correct one.

I see Orion straight in front of me as I walk out my door on clear ( and usually crisp) mornings all winter.
I don't have a clue as to how the PK nails fit into all this but Orion is fun to look at with a telescope.
Our friend Orion the Hunter rules the night sky in winter. Him and I have long conversations on winter evenings while I patiently wait for all four dogs to take care of their binnus before we crawl under our hides and furs for a nap. Like all good night hunters he spends long cold hours watching his prey before retiring as the dawn approaches.
His belt actually does represent the three corners found at most section corners...the wrong one, the one with the filed record...and the one that fits whatever the hell it is you're working on. 😉

Had a friend when I was a lad who's uncle had been born here in the unassigned lands of the Oklahoma Territory prior to statehood. Name on his birth certificate was "O.T." According to "O.T." his named stood for Oklahoma Territory.
We took his word for it simply because there was no one left alive that could dispute his claim. 😉

Odin (as Orion) rules the winter sky - he is the Holly King, the Dark Lord. His power is greatest at Midwinter, and least at Midsummer.
Here he is astride Sleipnir with the symbol of Orion's belt in his hand.
