I may need to send a crew to Georgia (yes I'm licensed there) to set some aerial targets for a drone topo of solid waste. Does anyone have recent experience with virtual reference systems (RTNs) in the northwest corner of GA starting at Atlanta? Vertical accuracy better than a tenth would be nice but I could live with .20' for this project. A reliable connection is more important than the cost for this task.

It looks like Leica's SmartNet has substantial coverage in NW Georgia.

Try e GPS solutions. They have a network that covers all of Georgia as far as I know.

I use to be part owner in eGPS Solutions. The hat is in Georgia. Lonnie the owner is a good man. Also a LS and if you get in touch with him and explain the exact areas he can tell you about exactly what you should expect in any area within his network. I have not used it or been involved since 2008. But we knew every area and had tied to man NGS marks both horizontal and vertical all throughout Georgia. I had a spreadsheet at one time of the deltas. I don’t know which brand of equipment you are running but we had two software’s running two different NRTK applications. Geo++ and Trimble VRS at the time and were experimenting with a few others. So you should most definitely have reliability and redundancy if they still operate the same way.  We kept up with every base outage and internet issue all the time back then. We were operating 24/7 every day of the year and were only down in any one station less than 1% of the time and usually that was less than 24hours. If I were going there or sending crews that what I would hang my hat on. But make sure your field procedures are good. And he can advise on cell or SIM card etc. coverage for that area as well. If you want more details feel free to PM me I can get you in touch with him.
