The HP41CX charity auction inspired by Scott Zelenak and the New York I.U.O.E. Local 15D Surveyors was a big success.

The high bid of $400 was by a great surveyor name Jerry Wahl a previous employee of the BLM that retired after 32 years of service, what an honor for him to bid for my HP calculator. You can believe that Jerry is of top shelf character and a cracker jack surveyor!

Scott Zelenak had mentioned to me a few months ago that the official 911 memorial would be a good choice of charities so we went with that.

Four $100 Pavers were donated and will be placed on the Memorial Plaza

Each of the cobblestones that will be placed on Memorial Plaza have been dedicated to four special people that are excellent examples to others, are dedicated to the betterment of others, and have made a positive difference.

1. Mr. Scott Zelenak (He had no idea he was being honored here.)

2. Mr. Wendell Harness

3. Mrs. Angel Harness

4. Mr. Bill McComber

Each had the dedication message "May God Bless the Victims and Heros of 911"

It is awesome, amazing and a no-brainer that you would honor Scott and Bill in such a way. But wow. I am speechless and deeply humbled.

I honestly don't know what to say except THANK YOU and I feel like that's not enough.

THANK YOU, I AM TRULY HONORED! :good:

How did I miss this thread? If it somehow can still help, count me in for $100 as an outright donation, just tell me where to send it. I leave it up to the committee to decide how to do appropriate it. Great Jerry got the calculator!

Done deal. Another paver, dedicated to Jerry Wahl, and to the honor of the surveying profession.
