Well, do ya?
What if you did not need the money?
Would you still like it?
Would you really still do it?
Or is it really just for the money....?

Seriously, I really do enjoy the vast majority of what I do. I suppose if I suddenly had unlimited money I would slow down and only take on the more entertaining challenges. I don't think I would totally quit unless physically unable to perform, as they say. As I am my own boss (When Mrs. Cow isn't around) I pretty much pick and choose already.
no. keep waiting to hit the big one
Yup. If I were rich, I'd likely do this for free.
Other than the Army, I've never worked a day in my life. It's all been fun.
If I don't have much to do, I tend to go a little crazy... Idle hands/mind; not good for me.
If I had a the means of not having to work, I would still be doing what I'm doing, with the freedom to cherry-pick the projects that I would really like to be a part of.
I like to work, I hate having a job.
I would do a lot more volunteer work. Which may involve surveying of some sort. But I would definitely close the company.
What Holy Cow said.
All other things being equal, I like having my job. The pay is good, I have a truck, good equipment and software and a lot of autonomy to do my job as I see fit.
I can't use the truck on personal things at all so it sits in my driveway all weekend but I can move it if I really need to. I know sometimes private companies allow personal use of the company vehicle as part of the compensation package but not me. One guy I know (not surveying) pays $100 per month for all personal use of the company car and they chewed him out for paying for gas when he first had it.

First World Problems
I like having a purpose. And if someone wants to pay me good money to do something I enjoy, I think I'll just keep at it and consider myself blessed. 😀
Just another day in the office. Catch you downstream
