Let's see a show of hands of those planning on attending the PLSO Conference in Salem next week.
We know Wendell will be.
:good:
Greg,
Good thing you asked.
Email me for more info about the conference. The address you gave when registering doesn't work.

Tyler
Oh, yeah. I'll be there.
I just realized I hadn't received a confirmation on my reservation for the conference. I guess I would have figured it out when I showed up for my packet next week.
See you all there!
Hey Tyler,
The password on the PLSO site for handouts did not seem to work, and yes I had capslock off!

Joe
Well, you didn't have to tell the whole world. 🙁
I just checked and it worked for me. I'll try another computer though.
Joe
I'll be there. The magic words didn't work for me the first time but they work now.
Joe
Looking forward to some good information, i.e. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, FIRST SESSION
See you there Wendell.

My first real speaking engagement -- I am not good in front of large crowds, so when you arrive, I'll be the one cowering in the corner.
Dang Geezer...
... you're going THIS year?!?! It'd been fun to see you. Maybe I'll see you at the 2014 event in Izee. Since you never get over to this side of the hills (possibly due to your aversion to hypothermia/ pneumonia /second degree burns and the like) I figure the only way we’ll get a chance to talk shop again is at some survey shivaree.
I'll be one of the old guys sitting in the theater box on the side making snide comments ala Statler and Waldorf of "The Muppet Show" We're a tough crowd 🙂
haha
Fortunately, my partner in crime IS good with this sort of stuff, so hopefully he'll pick me up when I'm down (or unconscious).
Looking forward to it.
I'll be there. Looking forward to it this year.
> My first real speaking engagement -- I am not good in front of large crowds, so when you arrive, I'll be the one cowering in the corner.
Two things to remember:
1.) You sound worse to yourself than you do to the crowd, and
2.) Afterward when you say to someone that you're not a good public speaker and they reply that you did fine, they're lying so as to not hurt your feelings.
Be there or be square.
Jered
Good deal laddie. Be sure to look up Geezer Anderson if you don’t already know him. Taught me how to think on my feet, save my employer money, double check everything on the run, triple check everything on the drive back to the office, take nothing for granted, understand the client’s concerns, expectations and perceptions, dig a hole deeper and wider than a wolverine or some surveyor in his right mind would dig when looking for evidence and how to windmill a sledge (and yes, I witnessed him windmill with two sledges in a fairly accurate manner. Ask him to do it! It’s cool).
Edit:
Oh, Also Jered, “Geezer” and I worked together with your former fellow-employee, Andrew R. back when the lava was still burbling out of the ground. Small (survey) world.
I was really hoping to be there myself with a slide show but a rare January work opportunity took precedence. So Id love to see a photo or two ...
Mike,
I think you MAY have stretched it a bit further that the Egyptian rope-stretchers on that one. Although it would be nice to DREAM that I taught you something.
My whole take on that sort of thing is that one can't teach anyone anything. The second person can LEARN from what the old guy has done (either good or bad). Why don't you just sneak over here for a day at the convention?
Geezer
