Nope. I've baked two pecan pies, two batches of cornbread for the dressing and have a turkey breast on the smoker. Still lots to do but I've got a good start on Thanksgiving.

Loyal, post: 456933, member: 228 wrote: Yup, still here.

I've got two PLS guys (Matt & Nolan) hiking UP to a 1896 ?¬ Cor. right now (about 700 vertical feet, and ?« Mile from the road). Near as I can tell, nobody has been there since the day that it was set.

I have three DIFFERENT "theos" for it, about a 50 ft. radius on a STEEP hillside covered by THICK Oak Brush!

I'm glad that I am here in the "command center," and NOT fighting my way through the Oak Brush today.

Update:

Matt & Nolan found the Stone ?¬ Cor, and continued UP the "hill," over the top, and part way down the other side...and FOUND the NE Cor. (Stone) as well.

Now they are backtracking to the truck, and hope to get to the "next" ?¬ Corner while there is still enough light.

A GOOD day!
Loyal

Riding back from another beautiful day in the field shooting wetland points and seasonal high water marks. Only saw a few gators and snakes and ditched my soggy shoes so my wrinkled feet can dry out. Gonna relax and maybe sleep in tomorrow.

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend everybody!

Company lunch is over, I got a nice gift card but didn't win the 55" 4k HD tv doorprize. Now I'm brining a Turkey and making preparations to Cajun-style deep fry it tomorrow. (Been doing it for more than 10 years now, so spare me the grease fire videos/photos).

Kids and I are heading to grandma's next week so I'm working part-time this week to not lose too many hours. HWMBO leaves to visit his family overseas on Friday...so I decided to head out as well while he's gone.

Since the beginning of November, the kids have been on 8 days of early release for parent-teacher conferences, plus a day off for veteran's day (I didn't), and this week off. They get 3 weeks at xmas/new year's. I have a reasonable vacation allotment for the US, but ugh! Thank goodness Esri pays hourly (even for salaried folks) so I can make up time here and there.

Escaped my second courthouse of the day a bit after 4:00 but only because I was scheduled for a full-body massage at 4:30 about 20 minutes away.

Fully planned on leaving the office at 3. Told both PC's this morning to be back at office by 3, last couple of months have required a lot of daylight until dark days and what we are working on today can wait until Monday to finish.
Fast forward to noon today and I find several issues on a 70 acre partition that I'm solving the boundary on, start pulling more deeds, every thing I pull does nothing but muddy the water and clear it up all at the same time. Next thing I know it's 4 and one crew isn't back. Call him and he says we had a slow start this morning plus none of the corners matched the deed calls so we expanded the search, because I knew you would want more because this is a mess...
Looks like a 1/2 day on Friday just turned into a full day for me.
