Does anyone ever get asked to certify to these two ALTA items. I guess I get #14 sometimes, but I have done a LOT of ALTA Surveys in my time, and have never been asked for 7(b)(2). It may be the only Items I haven't ever been asked for.
And if no one is requesting it, then why is it still there?
14 I get fairly frequently. 7(b)(2) I don't know that I ever have but I see why they have it there in case the Client wants some particular detail of a building shown.
Recent ALTA in strip mall had adjacent shared parking areas by agreements that travelled with conveyances. We were required to detail these additional areas for size and space allocation, though the item was listed as a 21 it could have been a 7-2b.
I could see where specific requests for material storage and stockpiles measurements might work at a 7-2b item.

Interesting.... I always took it to be something with the building area.
Maybe that will be my input for the next set of standards. Take this out of item 7, and if it is needed then give it another #. Same with the "walls plumb" item (#10b). Is that only for party walls or could it be applicable to all walls. If it is all walls, maybe 10a and 10b should be switched order not to confuse...
We get asked for 10B in NYC all the time for both party and independent walls.
lease areas, parking agreements, Conservation area overlay.
