This might better explain some of the issues we have faced from the surveyors of the 1970's when you had a bunch of extraterrestrials running around using datums that were not of this world.

Some states have legalized aliens getting driver licenses. Perhaps along the same lines of not understanding our supposed "rules" of the road (and not being able to read the street signs)?

I guess it's only a matter of time 'til someone challenges the law that provides you cannot be POTUS unless you're a natural born citizen.

I have long suspected that many among us have ascended from aliens.

I personally think its a descent. I am waiting patiently to be beamed back up. I just hope it happens before the next election...

I think it might be Alabama where they have a set hunting season for aliens, along with a daily limit and possession limit. Maybe it was Mississippi.

I would assume that to get a driver's license there would be a Test... one that needs to be read and answers given.
we have a test here, in the native language. I passed the test... despite it being "multiple guess" no way anybody anybody could pass without having basic proficiency.

Having extra hands and legs would be vantageous as a surveyor. I have long consider the octopus being well suited for our profession.

In Oregon, at least, the testee is allowed to have an interpreter along.

I'm not sure but I do not think that a person is allowed to bring a friend to interpret, it has to be someone "authorized" by the DMV. But, still...

They seem to employ common sense in Mexico. The counter argument is that if you don't make provisions for these folks they will just drive around unlicensed. But with the bar set so low I'm not sure what difference that makes.

I suspect that more people are just ignoring all the signs and traffic regulations than people that don't understand them. When I was in Mexico, all I needed to know was Alto means stop and the speed limit is in K/H.

I couldn't imagine me driving en Mexico.

All I needed to know was "Mas cervesas, por favor" and "donde esta el bano?"

I asked the guy I was with how to say "check please". He told me to say"se̱orita, me muestran sus senos". I must not have the accent down pat; the waitress got mad and we were asked to leave....

I'm thinking there is a test as well. The wonderful state of Maryland is one making noise about non-native aliens being provided licenses.... and I do know there is a large contingent that do not speak the "native" language of this country. Not that English has been declared to be the "official" language....

I do not know how the tests are run for aliens here, but 20+ years ago, I had to provide a raised seal birth certificate to "prove I am who I say I am"...... if the state trooper hadn't been 10 feet tall, I would have asked how a birth certificate proved such..... but I was not in the mood to spend a night in jail...

Well, what does "aliens" mean in the context of the above posted article? Are they talking about persons from outside the U.S. or just people who reside outside of Nebraska?

I think it was inevitable, with the decline in pyramid building during the dynaties of Egypt's Middle Kingdom, these extra-terrestrials would obviously have to relocate to find work.
